The Georgia Mushroom Festival, set to take place on October 4-5 in Dallas, Georgia, promises to be a weekend full of fun and fungi!

With weekend tickets at just $60 and daily tickets at $40, there’s fun for everyone with mushroom education, walks, cool vendors, food, and community. Kids under 12 also go free to the festival, and two days of camping are available for $40.

Some festival highlights are foraging and exercise with Steph and Josh, the healthy foragers and founders of Whole ATL. There is also Yoga with Audrey Brookshire of Safe Haven Wellness, along with nighttime walks and talks to learn about bugs, trees, and of course, mushrooms. There are also walks in the woods during the day with photography workshops, as well as for the musically inclined, the Kava Beats Drum Circle and a Bluegrass Jam Stage.

Shroomer interviewed the founder of the festival, who said that they “never thought that my little mushroom festival would get so big; and growing.”

The festival’s primary goal is to educate the public about the fungi kingdom as a whole and the uses of psilocybin.

The festival also calls out for volunteers, who can register on its site to help make the festival the best it can be!
